Two people have drowned in a swimming pool at a resort in Hartbeespoort in North West.
The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) recovered two bodies on Wednesday
NSRI spokesperson Craig Lambinon says security guards at the resort raised alarm after spotting the lifeless bodies of a man and a woman floating in a swimming pool.
“On arrival on the scene a male and female, believed to be locals, aged in their early 20's, were recovered from the swimming pool and CPR efforts were commenced.
“Sadly, after all efforts to resuscitate the two patients were exhausted, they were both declared deceased,” says Lambinon.
Police are investigating the incident.
