Two E.London men held for abduction
Two men have been arrested for allegedly abducting, robbing and raping women in and around East London, Eastern Cape police said on Thursday.
The men, aged 29 and 39, were arrested on Tuesday morning along Woolwash Road, in Haven Hills, Captain Mluleki Mbi said.
Mbi said the men used their small vehicle as a local taxi, offered women lifts and then robbed them before abducting and raping them. One victim was found inside the taxi during the arrest. She had been held by them from 9pm on Monday to about 3am on Tuesday, he said.
The two faced charges of kidnapping, robbery and rape. They would appear in the East London Magistrate's Court soon.
