Two guards injured in shooting at Middelburg Hospital

Mpumalanga Police are investigating circumstances surrounding a shooting incident that left two security guards injured at Middelburg Hospital.
It is understood the guards were on duty on Thursday afternoon when they were suddenly attacked by a group of guards from another security company.
Police spokesperson Selvy Mohlala says both live ammunition and rubber bullets were allegedly fired by the attackers.
"Five suspects aged between 26 and 40 have been arrested, the charges range from discharging a firearm in a public space and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. The motive is yet to be established.”
The suspects are expected to appear at the Middelburg Magistrate's Court soon.
