Two injured as bakkie hits cow in Free State
Updated | By ANA
A man and a woman were injured when their bakkie hit a cow on the R702 about 30km from Bloemfontein on Sunday night, Free State paramedics said.

After receiving the emergency call, ER24 paramedics immediately responded to the scene, ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said.
Upon arrival, paramedics found a wrecked bakkie in a field on the side of the road. The body of a cow lay in the rear of the bakkie.
Paramedics assessed three people who had been travelling in the bakkie at the time of the accident. One man escaped injury while another man and woman sustained minor injuries.
Paramedics treated both patients and transported them by ambulance to Pelonomi Hospital for further treatment.
“The cow on the rear of the bakkie unfortunately succumbed to its injuries,” Meiring said.
