Two men were injured when a building collapsed in Midrand, Johannesburg, on Monday morning, paramedics said.

"One man sustained serious injuries and the other had moderate injuries, and they were both taken to hospital for further medical care," Netcare 911 spokeswoman Santi Steinmann said.
Paramedics received a call after 2am about the incident at Halfway House on the Old Pretoria Road.
"It was a one-storey building. We don't know if it was a business premises or not because the entire building collapsed."
She said the cause was unknown and police and firefighters were on the scene investigating.
