Two killed in Cape Town refinery explosion

An investigation is underway into an explosion at the country's third-largest crude-oil refinery in the Western Cape which left two people dead.
Western Cape police say a man and a woman were killed while six others were injured in the blast which occurred at the Astron Oil Refinery in Milnerton.
A company spokesperson Suzanne Pullinger, says the fire was contained and the plant is now stable.
"The resultant fire has been contained and the plant is now stable,” she says.
The spokesperson for the province's Department of Local Government, James Brent-Styan says two have been confirmed dead but there is currently no risk.
"The Western Cape Disaster Management Centre has confirmed that there are at least two fatalities reported due to the explosion at the Astron Oil Refinery in Cape Town.
“Several serious injuries have been reported, the incident is currently under control.”
