Two killed in house fire in Vosloorus

The City of Ekurhuleni firefighters have on Saturday discovered two charred bodies inside a burnt house in Vosloorus extension 20.

The Zonkizizwe fire station swiftly responded to a call of a house fire with people trapped inside at the corner of Brickfield Road and Jupiter Street.
Ekurhuleni Disaster Management spokesperson William Ntladi says two charred bodies of an adult male and that of a toddler were found.
"CoE of firefighters received the call at 05:01 this morning. On arrival, flames were knocked down, and the search and rescue were conducted following information on entrapment,” said Ntladi.
"Gauteng Provincial Government Ambulance Services' paramedics declared the two deceased on scene. The cause of the fire is still undetermined, and the scene is under the watchful eyes of the police (SAPS)."
