Two killed in Mpumalanga crash
Updated | By Neo Motloung
Two people were killed and more
than 60 other injured in a collision between a bus and a car on the R538
between Masoyi and White River in Mpumalanga on Saturday.
The province’s Moeti Mmusi says the two victims were travelling in the car.
“It is not clear what led to the accident, but we suspect the wet roads may have contributed to the sedan losing control prior to colliding with the bus,” says Mmusi.
The bus ended up in a ditch on the side of the road.
Mmusi says more than 60 people were slightly injured and two were seriously injured and have been transported nearby hospitals.
The exact cause of the crash is being investigated.
