Two more teenagers arrested for high school killing

Gauteng police have arrested two more suspects for the murder of the 19-year old Kulani Mathebula, a pupil at Mondeor High School in the south of Johannesburg.

Mathebula was fatally stabbed in the chest while walking to school on Wednesday morning.

 

Police spokesperson, Kay Makhubela, says they have been working through the night on Wednesday to apprehend the outstanding two suspects linked to the murder of Mathebula.

 

"These two suspects were found in Naturena and Soweto. They are both 15-years-old," says Makhubela.

 

The suspects are currently in police custody and are expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court soon.

 

This brings to three the number of suspects arrested.

 

On Wednesday afternoon, a 13-year old learner was the first to be arrested on a charge of murder.
