Two nabbed in Limpopo for possession of pangolin

Two suspects have been arrested in Mokopane in Limpopo after a pangolin was found in their vehicle.

The two, aged 28 and 41, were nabbed after a tip-off from community member on Wednesday.

Limpopo spokesperson, Motlafela Mojapelo, says the suspects were spotted in the Mokopane Central Business District (CBD).
"Valuable information was received from members of the community about the suspects traveling in a white Mercedes Benz, carrying a pangolin," says Mojapelo.
"A Pangolin was then found in the vehicle and the suspects were immediately nabbed, the vehicle was also seized."
The suspects are expected to appear at the Mokopane Magistrates' Court on a charge of possession of an endangered species.
