Two nabbed for rhino poaching in Kruger National Park

Mpumalanga police have arrested two suspected rhino poachers in the Kruger National Park.

The two suspects were found in possession of pair of rhino horns, a hunting rifle with live ammunition, and an axe.
They were arrested after being spotted by helicopter hiding in the bushes after entering the park through Malelane section.
Police spokesperson Selvy Mohlala says they have been charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm with ammunition and illegal possession of rhino horns.
"Preliminary investigation has revealed that the two men from Mozambique Sergio Mathebula and July Sihlangu have entered the Republic of South Africa without documentation thus they were also charged for contravening the country's immigration act."
The two made appeared in Skukuza Regional Court on Thursday and were remanded in custody until 28 September for a formal bail application.
