Two top North West government officials are expected back in court in September on charges of fraud.

Hawks spokesperson Hangwani Mulaudzi says former North West Finance MEC Wendy Nelson and suspended provincial health HOD Thabo Lekalakala are accused of falsified documents to hire Lekalakala back in 2014.
Lekalakala was arrested on Monday and appeared in court on the same day while Nelson appeared in court on Friday.

Mulaudzi says the pair are out on R20 000 each.
“They are being accused of having faulted the regulations in terms of his [Lekalakala] appointment and that tantamount to fraud,” says Mulaudzi
The arrests come amid a probe by the Hawks into the irregular appointments of senior officials in the provincial government.
