The community of Phagameng near Modimole embarked on a protest on Friday morning due to an alleged water shortage.

According to police spokesperson, Ronel Otto all roads leading to and from the community have been blocked off.
"Travellers in that area are advised to make use of alternative routes," Otto told Jacaranda FM news.
Meanwhile police are monitoring the situation in Mankweng outside Polokwane after a community protest flared up on Thursday night.
Police say it was a service delivery protest that continued throughout the night.
Residents of Mentz blockaded the R71 and stoned at least four cars which resulted in seperate accidents.
"The drivers of the vehicles were injured and protesters prevented emergency services from assisting them," police said.
Police are still deployed in the area and are expected to make arrests soon.
