Two suspects arrested for Dobsonville murder, rape

Gauteng police have arrested two suspects linked to the murder of a 61-year-old woman and the rape of her 21-year-old granddaughter during a house robbery.
Three suspects allegedly broke into their home last week Friday.
Police say one of the armed suspects raped the 21-year-old, while another suspect raped and injured the grandmother.

The elderly woman later died in hospital.
"On Wednesday evening 22 July 2020, investigations led the team to Mpumalanga where they arrested one suspect. Police have determined and confirmed that the second suspect in the case was shot and killed during a house robbery this past weekend in Roodepoort," says Gauteng police spokesperson Mathapelo Peters.
"Further investigations have since linked a third suspect who is of one-two men that were allegedly assaulted by community members over the weekend. This third suspect has now been arrested and is in police custody."
