Two suspects nabbed for Northriding cash-in-transit heists

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with cash-in-transit heists in Northriding, north of Johannesburg.

The suspects were arrested last week Monday and Thursday respectively.
Police spokesperson Ndivhuwo Mulamu one of the suspects, Aaron Kgotso Matsotso was taken in for questioning on Monday after the Hawks found an undisclosed amount of money in a burnt-out cash van.
"It is alleged that the suspect, Aaron Kgotso Matsotso (44) also known as ‘Terence’ allegedly drove off after his crew went into a food outlet at Bellairs shopping centre to collect money.
"Matsotso was taken in for questioning and he was subsequently charged for cash in-transit robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, perjury, malicious damage to property, cash-in-transitxplosives, and defeating the ends of justice," she explains.

Matsotso appeared in the Randburg Regional Court and is expected to apply for bail on 11 November.
Meanwhile, the second suspect, a 40-year-old man, was arrested in his home in Dube on Thursday.
Mulamu says the police seized an undisclosed amount of money, two vehicles, laptops, and Fidelity uniform.
"The 40-year-old man is expected to appear before the Randburg Regional Court on Monday facing similar charges with his co-accused.”
