Two suspects nabbed for R7m abalone in NC

The Hawks in the Northern Cape have arrested two suspects
after they were caught in a possession of abalone worth R7
million on Tuesday.
The elite crime-fighting says the two suspects were arrested in Colesburg on Tuesday,
Hawks spokesperson Nomthandazo Mnisi says that the truck was traveling from Cape Town to Gauteng.
“Our members from Northern Cape received a tip-off information regarding a truck that was traveling from Cape Town towards Gauteng that was carrying a dried abalone valued at R7 million rand.”
“The visible policing in Colesburg reacted with our members, and they have arrested two foreign nation yesterday, aged 38 and 59, the suspects will be appearing in court very soon.”
Forty-three boxes of abalone weighing about 860kg were seized.
