An Uber driver has been fired after he allegedly pleasured himself in the presence of a 20-year-old woman from Gordon's Bay.

The woman booked an Uber ride from Strand to Gordon's Bay last Thursday.
Uber released a statement saying the man - who cannot be named at the moment - was removed from accessing the app.

The transport company says they are working with police.
"This is a shocking and regrettable incident and what’s been described has no place on the Uber app. This would be a clear violation of our community guidelines. We take any incident of this nature very seriously and in cases like this, we immediately remove the driver’s access from the app.
"We've reached out to the rider to offer support and are in contact with law enforcement to assist their investigation in any way we can."
