Unrest continues at UKZN's Pietermaritzburg campus

Violence erupted between students and police at the University of KwaZulu-Natal's (UKZN) Pietermaritzburg campus on Thursday.

Emotions are running high after a student was alleged hit by a rubber bullet while she was in one of the residences.
Police fired at protesting students after a fire was started at the entrance of a residence.
Students marched onto campus with tensions rising after the shooting incident.
It's been tense all morning, with police using teargas to disperse the crowds.
They were earlier throwing stones over the fence and onto cars passing by.
