UPDATE: No load shedding expected today
Updated | By JacarandaFM News / Release
Eskom has confirmed it does not expect to roll out load shedding
on Sunday after the system was suspended on Saturday afternoon.

Spokesperson for the embattled power utility, Sikonathi Mantshantsha, says Eskom has seen a sufficient improvement in the generation system, after a unit returned online and emergency reserves could be adequately refilled.
However, the risk remains for load shedding to return at short notice.
Customers have been reminded to use electricity sparingly and to assist us in reducing demand:
• Set air-conditioners’ average temperature at 23ºC
• Switch off your geysers over peak periods
• Use the cold water tap rather than using the geyser every time
• Set your swimming pool pump cycle to run twice a day, three hours at a time
• At the end of the day, turn off computers, copiers and printers at the switch.
