SARU says in a statement released on Tuesday morning that there has been technical problems.

The flight from Japan is now only expected to land at the OR Tambo International Airport in Gauteng after 7pm on Tuesday evening.

It was originally expected at about 16:30 on Tuesday afternoon.

However, other flights carrying selected members of the victorious Springbok Rugby World Cup squad are still expected to land between 16:30 and 16:45.

These players include Pieter-Steph du Toit, Duane Vermeulen, Cheslin Kolbe and Makazole Mapimpi, who will move straight to the media conference once they have cleared customs.

Kolisie, Erasmus and the others will address the media at about 20:00.

All the players will also make a brief public appearance at the airport.
