Urgent intervention to find water in Limpopo

The Mopani District Municipality in Limpopo says it has
received R84 million to address the water crisis in the region.

The municipality has confirmed that the Middle Letaba dam - one of the largest dams in the province and located within the Mopani district - stands at 7.8 %
The district municipality stretches over five local municipalities.
The spokesperson for the Mopani District Municipality, Witness Tiva, says the funds will be used to drill boreholes to deliver water to affected communities.
"We received this amount last week and we have started moving in ensuring that our technicians and engineers go on the ground and identify areas that need urgent intervention," says Tiva.
Tiva says they hope to resolve the water crisis in the region by March 2019.
