uShaka Marine World reopens after strike

uShaka Marine World has reopened to the public after a lengthy strike by its employees.
Management says the Cargo Hold and Wahooz restaurants started trading again on Monday morning.
The Wet 'n Wild water park and play area and Kids World will welcome back visitors from Wednesday.
Staff downed tools last month demanding salary hikes recommended by an audit firm eight years ago.
uShaka's Management, eThekwini Municipality and municipal workers' union Samwu reached a pay deal last week.
Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda said recently that the municipality wanted to ensure the preservation of the sea world.
uShaka CEO Ndabo Khoza says the CCMA handled the dispute.
"The park started opening on Saturday with a soft opening, and gradually, we will be reopening all the other areas. Of course, there was quite a lot of cleaning up. We just wish to confirm that we are in full business. and we want to thank all the stakeholders for their patience during this very difficult period."
