Vaal dam at 95%
The Vaal Dam is 95.8% due to the recent rain during the past week and over the weekend.
The Department of Water and Sanitation says they had expected the dam would reach 100% on Sunday.
Spokesperson Sputnik Ratau says the even though the Vaal has not quite managed to reach that level, they still expect it to reach a 100% on either Monday or Tuesday.

"We will release water from the dam around Monday or Tuesday because that is when we expect it to reach a 100%, that's if the rain falls as it did during the week," Ratau says.
Ratau says the Bloemhof dam reached 100% on Saturday, with water being released from the dam since Friday.
