The estranged husband of slain Gqeberha mother Vicki Terblanche has been arrested.
The 53-year-old was arrested at his house in Millpark on Wednesday evening.
Police spokesperson Priscilla Naidu says he is expected the appear in court soon where he will be charged with murder.
His co-accused, the 32-year-old Reinhardt Leach, Vicki’s boyfriend, and the 24-year-old Dylan Cullis are expected to apply for bail on Thursday in the Magistrate’s Court.
The men were arrested two days after Leach reported Vicki as missing last month and have been in custody ever since.
Just days after the news of Terblanche's murder broke her husband was implicated by various sources on social media.
In a draft indictment, it is alleged that the three accused and other persons unknown to the state, conspired to kill Vicki Terblanche.
Shortly after Leach and Cullis' arrest, the man’s lover became very vocal on social media, especially when fingers started to point towards her lover.
She made several statements on Facebook saying that she and the 53-year-old man did not need to defend anything and said police should be allowed to investigate the case.
The woman, whose identity will be kept hidden, added that the family needed space to deal with the tragedy.
She has since deleted her social media accounts.
The matter will be prosecuted by well known State Advocate Marius Stander who secured a conviction for Christopher Panayiotou who plotted to kill his wife Jayde, in 2015.
