VIDEO: Alleged police brutality caught on camera

Two police officers, reportedly from Douglasdale in Gauteng, are shown in a video allegedly assaulting a man in the early hours one morning.

Police spokesperson, Lt Kay Makhubela said the police are aware of the video and that an investigation has been launched.

"We are investigating a case of assault and the case will be referred to the Independent Police Investigative Directorate for further investigation."

Makhubela said that the officers seen in the video have not yet been identified and the investigation will lead to their identification.
