Forensic police officers are investigating the scene of a freak explosion which left a crater on the N1 highway between Mokopane and Polokwane in Limopopo on Thursday.
Reports state that in the early hours of the morning, a grocery truck crashed into a truck containing explosives. Upon police arriving at the scene, the explosives went off, killing a truck driver and four police officers. Three others were injured in the explosion.
