Today marks the 38th anniversary of anti-apartheid activist Steve Biko's death at the hands of Apartheid police.

"We believe that in our country there shall be no minority there shall be no majority, there shall just be people. And those people will have the same status before the law, and they will have the same political rights before the law."
Today marks the 38th anniversary of anti-apartheid activist Steve Biko's death at the hands of Apartheid police.
He would have been 69 years old this year. Biko spearheaded the Black Consciousness Movement in South Africa and died in 1977, from injuries sustained while in police custody.
In a rare television interview Biko spoke about his dream of a non-racial South Africa:
