VIDEO: Union calls for closure of Fusion Secondary School after shooting
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The Educators’ Union of South Africa (EUSA) has expressed shock over what they call ‘senseless leadership’ at Fusion Secondary School in Lotus Gardens, in the west of Tshwane.

According to EUSA, the principal of the school told pupils and teachers to return to their classes after a grade 10 pupil was shot by a stray bullet during a shooting that occurred outside the school ground on Tuesday morning.
Spokesperson for the union Kabelo Mahlobogwane says they are calling for the immediate closure of the school.
The union also wants all staff and learners to first receive counselling before they are allowed back at school.
“EUSA has long called for the department to put security in these schools as we continue to see killings and other violent crimes taking place in and around the schools,” says Mahlobogwane.
