Viljoenskroon crash leaves three dead one injured
Three people died and one was injured in a head-on crash along the R76 about 15km from Viljoenskroon in the Free State in the early hours of Sunday morning, paramedics said.
Details to the cause of the crash are still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation,” Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said in a statement.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway obstructed with accident debris and the crumpled remains of the vehicles.
“After triaging, medics found that three people had tragically died on impact while a fourth person sustained moderate injuries. Medics stabilised the injured person on scene before transporting the patient to a nearby hospital for further treatment,” Botha said.
