Voice note about storm a hoax: ER24
ER24 says it did not issue a WhatsApp voice note regarding a storm warning.
In the message, a woman calling herself Antoinette, can be heard warning of a massive storm.
The woman claims to be working for ER24.
The voice note started circulating on social media this morning.
"The voice note was not issued by an official channel through ER24. We are in the process of determining the employment of the person that distributed the message," says ER24.
Official weather warnings will only be issued by the South African Weather Services.
ER24 is appealing to people not to redistribute the voice note.
