Warning of severe thunderstorms over Gauteng and Mpumalanga

The South African Weather Service has warned of severe thunderstorms and heavy rain over parts of Gauteng and Mpumalanga on Friday.
Forecaster Jan Vermeulen says the weather conditions can be expected to continue into the weekend.
“Yellow Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorm with possible downpours causing flooding of roads and gusty winds causing damage to infrastructure has been issued for Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
“Gauteng should expect scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated over the south-western part of the province.
“We expect the condition to continue over the weekend however it will likely get better on Saturday, but more information will be available later.”
