The South African Weather Service has warned of possible heavy rainfall in parts of Gauteng and Limpopo.
This as cool and cloudy conditions persist throughout most of the country.
Forecaster Lehlogonolo Thobela says some heavy rainfall can be expected in parts of Gauteng.
“We issued a level 2 disruptive rainfall warning over the northern parts of Gauteng, including the Mogale District, Krugersdorp, Pretoria North and areas of Johannesburg.
“So, it looks like the whole week we are going to have a 30 to 60% chance of showers and thundershowers over central and north-eastern parts of the country and thundershowers throughout until Friday.”
Thobela says there is also a possibility of more flooding in Limpopo.
“Currently we have a 60% chance of showers and thundershowers over the central parts of the country. A 30% chance was expected in north-eastern parts, but it has been upgraded to a 60% chance of showers and thundershowers over Limpopo.
“We have issued a level 6 warning of disruptive rain which might see localised flooding.
“Tomorrow we have another 30 to 60% chance of showers and thundershowers over the central parts of the country.”
