[WATCH] Brazen kidnapping attempt at Florida eatery
Police have confirmed the authenticity of a video on social media showing an attempted kidnapping in a Florida restaurant, west of Johannesburg.

In the video, two women are seen sitting at a table with a young girl when a man grabs the girl by her neck.
Bystanders immediately try to assist.
Gauteng police spokesperson Kay Makhubele has confirmed that the incident took place at a local pizza restaurant on Thursday evening.
“The mother and the child screamed and with the help of the shop owner and the community the suspect was apprehended,” he says.

Makhubele says the 24-year-old suspect appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
