WATCH: 'Come to South Africa' - ad with Noah goes live
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The Tourism Campaign for South Africa by Tourism Business Council featuring comedian Trevor Noah has officially been released on various social media platforms.
The advert is part of a worldwide push to attract more tourists to the country.
In the advert, Noah is telling the globe why they should come to our shores.
Noah says throughout his global comedy career, he has been asked about South Africa and whether it is worthy of visiting.
In the video, Noah is seen answering questions from travellers.
This is the ad that initially caused an outcry in the country, when it was reported that Noah would be paid up to 33 million rand for a 5 minutes long advert.
Tourism Minister Patricia de Lille and the superstar comedian have both denied the claims, but it's still not clear exactly how much this campaign is costing.
In the meantime, Noah is doing his best to clear up confusion by answering questions from potential foreign visitors and putting his humorous spin on the answers.
