WATCH: Drunk Pretoria cop to face the music
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The police in Gauteng Police have had to arrest one of their own after he was caught driving under the influence of alcohol.

The cop, who was not on duty at the time, was dressed in full uniform when he crashed into a motorcyclist at an intersection.
The incident happened at Proclamation Hill in Pretoria West on Sunday.
In the video, which subsequently spread like wildfire on social media, the officer can be seen under citizen’s arrest and being dragged to a police car.
Gauteng police commissioner Elias Mawela has labelled the officer’s behaviour as irresponsible and disgraceful.
"The management of the police in Gauteng has noted with disappointment the video circulating on social media, where a drunk off-duty member in uniform hit a civilian with his private vehicle.
"A criminal case of drunken driving and an internal case in terms of the disciplinary regulations are instituted against the member and he will face the consequences of his actions.”
