WATCH: EFF has SONA warning for Zuma
Updated | By Slindelo Masikane
EFF leader Julius Malema said the State of the Nation address next week won't be business as usual.
Malema told journalists at a press briefing on Thursday that President Jacob Zuma must first explain why he removed Nhlanhla Nene as Finance Minister before addressing the nation.
The EFF is hosting its Annual Plenum in Boksburg to discuss the party's plan of action for the year.
Malema says the State of the Nation will be delivered by the president and the EFF.
"Instead of just leaving him there speaking alone, we are going to share that time with him. Every time he turns the page, we are going to speak. When he goes to the next page, we'll speak. If he is going to speak for 25 minutes, there will be additional 25 minutes from the EFF, so it will be 50 minutes of the State of the Nation Address.
Malema also took time to clarify his comments directed at ANN7 and The New Age journalists, when he said he could not guarantee their safety in their studios.
