Finance minister Pravin Gordhan has delivered his budget speech during challenging global economic conditions.
The South African economy is expected to grow by just 0.9 % this year, the minister announced during his budget speech.
Two new tax levies have been introduced.
The minister also announced a personal income tax relief of R5.5billion mainly focused on low earners.
