[WATCH LIVE] Ramaphosa’s address to set tone for festive season
Updated | By Nokukhanya N Mntambo
South Africans are waiting anxiously to hear if President Cyril Ramaphosa will make any amendments to the Covid-19 regulations ahead of the festive season.

The country is preparing for a cheerful festive period but if the latest stats are anything to go by, it may well be a dark Christmas.
The number of Covid-19 cases has risen dramatically over the past few days, with a total of 860 964 cumulative infections and 23 276.
Ramaphosa will address the nation from the Union Buildings on Monday.
He met with Cabinet and the National Coronavirus Command Council on Sunday.
Economists are already predicting the damage to South Africa’s bottom line if Ramaphosa hands down stricter restrictions for major industries.
But government has the difficult task of balancing the economy against the health of its citizens.
