WATCH: Manchester has a screaming tower
Updated | By Suné du Toit
You would think having a howling tower would be something to be proud of, but residents of Manchester in Britain are reportedly irritated by it.
The 47-storey Beetham Tower is the cause of eerie noises, described by some as a hum, howl or scream, whenever the wind picks up.
A video has taken the internet by storm when it recorded the sounds the tower made when the city was hit by gale-force winds.
According to reports, architect Ian Simpson has apologized for the building's unintentional sound effects, telling the Manchester Evening News that they're caused by winds rushing over the glass "blade" at the top.
