Gauteng police are searching for an unknown number of suspects who allegedly robbed a man, believed to be former Bosasa executive Angelo Agrizzi.
Police spokesperson Kay Makhubele says a 51-year-old man was robbed of his belongings on Thursday evening.
“It is alleged that it was 13h15 pm midday when the victim was at BP Garage in Fourways filling petrol in his BMW when he was approached by suspects,” Makhubele says.
"It is alleged that the suspects instructed the victim to open the door and hand over everything that he had. Items that were robbed include wristwatch, wedding ring, black leather briefcase which contained one apple MacBook silver in colour, five Montblanc pens. A wallet with an undisclosed amount of cash and bank cards."
Makhubele says the value of the stolen items add up to around R378 000.
The suspects then fled in a car with an unknown registration number.
A video published by The Citizen shows a man, who resembles Agrizzi, pulling up in the car before being pounced upon by two armed men.
After a few seconds, the men ran off with what looks like a bag.
