Updated | By MornéJK
Gift of the Givers released a statement this morning stating that they have made contact with Al Qaeda in Mali.

According to the release, the terrorist group released two videos of the two hostages that they are holding captive: South African, Stephen McGown, and Swede, Johan Gustafsson.
The hostages were captured four years ago and the aid organisation's negotiator in Mali, Mohamed Yehia Dicko, went to Bamako on the fourth anniversary of the hostages being taken captive.
"It was a week of tense waiting and patience. We received three to four calls a day through the intermediary apologizing and confirming that a video will be available soon," Gift of the Givers said.
Al Qaeda released footage showing that the hostages are still alive.
