[WATCH] Somizi bids mother Mary Twala farewell: ‘Thank you for everything. I love you’

An emotional media personality Somizi Mhlongo paid tribute to his mother’s - veteran actress Mary Twala - at her funeral in Soweto on Thursday morning.
The 80-year-old Twala's funeral service was held at the Grace Bible Church after she passed away at Park Lane Hospital in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Describing his mother as a punctual person, Somizi said he believes her death was right on time.
"Her timing is always impeccable to the point where she leaves around my dad’s birthday and she buried on my husband’s birthday.
"That is my mother for you," a visibly emotional Somizi said.

Somizi said that before Mary died on Saturday, she told the doctor she wanted lots of flowers at her funeral and to be buried in the dress she wore at his wedding.
He said although it was difficult to say goodbye, he was at peace.
“I am not sad because my mother is gone but because the umbilical cord has been cut completely. I am so at peace with what my mother has achieved, she has seen me walk down the aisle. She has seen her granddaughters.
“I know I have lost a mother on earth but gained the most powerful ancestor. I promise to never make you an angry ancestor. Thank you for everything. I love you.”
Somizi thanked South Africans for appreciated his mother while she was still alive.
"South Africa you have shown my mother - the presidency and the president - you have really given my mother flowers while she could smell them.
"Rest assured you have nothing to make up for, you have loved my mother."
