[WATCH] Truck driver arrested after massive accident
Seven people sustained minor injuries when a cement truck crashed into 17 vehicles on Doreen Road next to Ruimsig Centrein Roodepoort on the West Rand Tuesday afternoon.
Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula has urged motorists to be vigilant on the roads, not just during peak travel seasons.

Spokesperson to the department of transport, Ayanda Allie Paine, says it is reported that the breaks of the truck failed.
"The truck also crashed into a building and lost its load of cement. The driver who alleges that his brakes failed, was arrested for reckless and negligent driving," says Allie Paine.

Allie Paine adds the minister has also cautioned road users to remain vigilant, adhere to the rules of the road and ensure that their vehicles are roadworthy.
