The video shows Thandi Shaparadzo being handcuffed and manhandled by security personnel in full view of her 3-year-old daughter.

Nkosi-Malobane, together with members of the South African Police Service (SAPS), visited Cosmo City's Usave Shoprite supermarket on Sunday.

It is understood that Shaparadzo was manhandled after her daughter caused a mess outside the grocery shop.

Police spokesperson, Nonhlanhla Khumalo says a docket was opened at Honeydew Police Station and is currently under investigation.

Shoprite SA wrote on Twitter that they are aware of the incident but says the security guards seen in the video are not employed by Shoprite.
