WATCH: Violent arrest of student causes outrage
An investigation has been launched by a US school district after a video showing the violent arrest of a student in class went viral.
An officer can be seen grabbing and dragging a female student across the floor after grabbing her in her chair in a classroom of Columbia's Spring Valley High School.
According to reports the Richland County Sheriff's Department told a station that a disruptive student refused to leave after a teacher and an administrator asked her to and that the officer forcibly removed the student and she resisted arrest.
