WATCH: Wits on fire
Updated | By ANA
Management at the University of Witwatersrand confirmed that four fires were started on it's Braamfontein capmus overnight.
This after discussions that lasted for hours the past weekend, ended with defiant Wits students vowing to continue their protest until all their demands are met and free education for all is achieved.
The meeting that started after midday, saw students initially divided on whether to concentrate on upcoming examinations or continue with the #FeesMustFall campaign that resulted President Jacob Zuma granting protesting students from across the country their demand for a zero percent tuition fee increase for 2016.
Each student was given an opportunity to voice their views during the private discussions on Saturday. Reporters were requested to leave the Senate House during the deliberations.
University spokesperson, Shirona Patel confirmed the incidents.
