Water restored in Sandton after 'emergency shutdown'

Johannesburg Water says water has been restored at Sandton suburbs affected by an emergency shutdown.
The water outage left thousands of residents partially without water since Saturday.
Technicians had to deal with a pipe burst at Bryanston reservoir and Tower at Witkoppen and William Nicol Drive.
Spokesperson Puleng Mopeli says water has been restored to most of the affected areas.
"Teams will flush hydrants to remove air from the system in areas that still have no water/ poor pressure. Customers are advised to log complaints and follow-up via the call centres should they still have no water/ poor pressure since the completion of repairs.
"Affected areas include parts of Bryanston, Lyme Park, Rivonia, Fourways, Douglasdale, Magaliesig, Witkoppen, Maroeladal, Craigavon, Dainfern, Kengies, Lonehill, Beverly, Paulshof, Pineslopes, Magaliesig View and Norscot."
