Water supply issues affecting several parts of Tshwane
Updated | By Mapaballo Borotho
The City of Tshwane said on Tuesday technicians were investigating the lack of water supply in the high-lying areas of Mooikloof and several other areas.
Tshwane spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said the issue in Mooikloof was due to low water levels at the local reservoir.
"The city, in conjunction with the engineers from the water utility, is working on improving the supply to Klapperkop and Carina Street Reservoirs, which are currently struggling to maintain satisfactory levels. The above reservoirs supply Muckleneuk, Sunnyside, Arcadia and parts of Waterkloof Ridge" said Mashigo.
Mashigo urged residents to use water sparingly as the network system in various parts within the municipality is strained due to the hot weather conditions.
"It is important for the customers to adhere to this clarion call to avoid the system from being strained and ultimately resulting in a water outage.”
