'We are going to take that land' - Ramaphosa
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
African National Congress (ANC) president Cyril Ramaphosa says the land will be returned to the people "whether they like or not".

Ramaphosa says the party's recent national conference not only appointed a committed leadership, but also adopted important policies, one being the return of the land to the people of South Africa.
"Yes, many years later, we are saying that that land indeed will be returned and we are going to put it in the hands of our people whether they like it or not."
Ramaphosa was speaking at a tribute event held in Inanda, KwaZulu-Natal, on Monday.

He also called for unity in the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), saying that factionalism will hurt the party when it contests the 2019 national elections.
"We want you to unite and be one thing here in KZN. KZN is far more important to the life and existence of the ANC to be divided. We do not want a divided ANC here in KZN."
The event was held on the ANC's 106th birthday in honour of previous party presidents. This includes Albert Luthuli, Josiah Gumede, Pixley Seme, and ANC's founding president, Langalibalele Dube.
