'We want to know the motive' - families of slain KZN matrics speak of heartbreak
The families of two matric schoolgirls hacked to death with an axe in southern KwaZulu-Natal say they are dumbfounded by the brutality of the attacks.
Amanda Zulu and Minenhle Buthelez, who were both 18, were laid to rest on Sunday.
The pupils, who had rented student accommodation, were attacked at the Ngwangwane Village property last Sunday.
A 21-year-old man charged with the double murder's appeared in court.

Amanda's aunt Stella Zulu says the family's battling to come to terms with what happened.
"It's really painful and unsettling for us because we have so many questions, which makes it difficult for us to accept the situation.
"Although the police have arrested the suspect, we want to know his motive for killing the girls. I mean one of them was his relative, he was supposed to protect her, instead of being her killer."
